Company History

The Zürichsee Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (ZSG) was established in 1890/91 under its original name, Zürcher Dampfbootgesellschaft. In 1957, the company adopted its current name, Zürichsee Schifffahrtsgesellschaft, or ZSG for short. Since May 27, 1990, ZSG has been part of the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, operating as one of eight companies responsible for the regional transport market. The timeline showcases the history of ZSG and its predecessor organizations.

Today we concentrate on three fields of business activity:

  • Roundtrips
As a leading partner of the Zurich Public Transport Association (ZVV), we operate all the routes across Lake Zurich and also on the River Limmat.
  • Unique Cruises
Leave the daily routine and enjoy Lake Zurich at its best: Our Unique Cruises offer fine food, entertainment and relaxation!
  • Boat & dockyard hall rental
Unsere Schiffe und die grosse Werfthalle direkt am See können für Privat- oder Geschäftsanlässe gemietet werden.
